The City of Germantown, TN is recruiting for a Public Works Director. The Public Works Director is responsible for the leadership of the Public Works Department. The Department is responsible for the development and maintenance of the public infrastructure of the City including the traditional areas of public works such as roads, drainage, sidewalks and rights-of-way. The City is focused on service excellence, operational efficiency and long-range planning.
The City of Germantown is in Shelby County, TN in the beautiful northwest part of Tennessee.

The Public Works Director reports directly to the Assistant City Administrator and is a key member of the leadership team. The position requires the successful candidate to meet the following minimum qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field that includes major course work in engineering.
Seven years’ experience in the direction of environmental and public works activities including three in a managerial capacity; or any combination of education, training, and experience providing the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform essential job functions
A Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred
The salary range for this position is commensurate with experience – up to $154,300.
