The City of Shelbyville is seeking applicants for the position of a full time Stormwater Inspector for the Public Works Dept. The employee will be primarily responsible for assisting with all aspects of Stormwater operations including maintenance and improvement of stormwater infrastructure, and implementation of the stormwater quality management plan. This employee is under the direct supervision of the Stormwater Coordinator and overall supervision of the Public Works Director. The employee will be required to perform any other tasks as may be required to accomplish the essential functions of the position. Minimal qualifications must include the following: High School Diploma or GED Equivalent, valid TN Driver’s License, previous experience in a local government setting is desirable and must have Level 1 TN Erosion Prevention and Sediment Control or ability to obtain within six (6) months of being hired.
This is a full-time position, Monday-Thursday; 6am-4:30pm. The minimum starting hourly rate is $20.69 an hour, depending on experience and qualifications.
